hi NSW rogainers

Four things:

1. NSW champs

Get in fast if you want to experience rogaining nirvana out west in the NSW champs on the October long weekend (3-4 October). You may be losing an hour of your precious nightclubbing on the Sat night if you stay in Sydney, but out at the event site, we will be taking a banana-bender approach to things and not having daylight saving - at least until after the event!  It has been agreed by a number of grizzled old rogainers that this location is some of the best rogaining country in the state, so come and see for yourself what that means!   Entries close early  (VERY early!) on Sunday morning this weekend, so find your ideal rogaining partner and get your entry in!

2. Lake Macquarie rogaine results, photos & reports

There have been some recent updates to this page, notably an interesting report from one of the course setters, Neil Chappell.   So have a read, admire your placing, and scheme how you are going to get a couple of places higher in the NSW champs!

3. 2009 Navigation Workshop

This was a roaring success the other weekend out at Rydal - and if you don't believe me, see what the participants said and have a look at the photos they took at:

4. 2010 Autumn rogaine

Rogaining in Autumn - the best time to Rogaine - stable weather - not to hot and clear skies.   Would you like to help organise the NSW 2010 Autumn Rogaine?   We need volunteers for all of the roles including course setters, vetters, organisers and admin.   Course setting is fun and is the best way to improve navigation skills.   Rogaine length can be anywhere from 6 to 12 hours.   Location location location ?   Your choice, some old favourties not used for a while include Tarlo River National Park, Yengo National Park, Dharug National Park and Sunny Corner State Forest. Maybe you know somewhere new?   Please contact Phil Whitten at:  nswravc@gmail.com,  or by phone (02 4298 1427)  if you are keen to help out.

See you at a checkpoint!
