G'day rogainers,

Entries are now open for the first event on the NSW Rogaining Association
calendar for 2009, a 6 hour "Metrogaine".

Metrogaines are rogaines held in and around urban areas. The checkpoints are
multiple choice questions which need to be answered at each checkpoint
location. Normal rogaine rules apply so each member of the team must
simultaneously visit each checkpoint. A Metrogaine is designed with the
intent of introducing competitors to a new area and can be taken as
seriously as you desire- from cafe or park hopping to a 6 hour strenuous
running event.

When: Sunday 22nd February 2009
Start time: 9:30am
Finish time: 3:30pm
Where: Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. The start will be somewhere near
Bondi.
Entry Fees: Adult $35, Concession $25, Family maximum $70
Who can enter: Anyone. You need a team of between two and five people.

The first NSWRA "bush" rogaine for 2009 will be on 2nd May at Nangar
National Park west of Orange. You will have the choice of a 6 or 12 hour
duration. For more details on this event and to see the full calendar of
events for this year visit the web site,

Please consider volunteering to help out at an event this year. We can only
keep putting on events if enough people volunteer. If you have done a few
events and plan to do more, think about lending a hand. Contact Phil Whitten
(nswravc@gmail.com) to ask about what you could do to help.
